TSEF's Team Tamarack Freeride/Freestyle offers a variety of programs ranging from a weekend development program for the newest and youngest Skiers to a full-time competition program for the older and more experienced athlete. The main focus of all our teams is fun. We believe that enjoyment greatly enhances learning and leads to a lifelong passion for skiing self improvement. This philosophy is emphasized in all levels Team Tamarack's programs. Adherence to all TSEF Handbook Guidelines required Christmas Camp available USSA Membership required Athlete to coach ratio - 10:1 The Intro Team is just that, an introduction to the ski team structure and atmosphere. The Intro Team group trains or freeskis 1 or 2 half days per week on weekends. Christmas camp days are also available. The focus of this team is FUN and fundamentals. Instructions on stance, balance, jump techniques and off trail skiing, are made available as well as supervised freeskiing on a variety of terrain.

Members are encouraged to compete in local events and in some events at surrounding areas. This is a low level competitive program, not a learn-to-ski program. Members are expected to be able to ski all levels of terrain At Tamarack Resort & Brundage Mtn. in a timely and efficient manner and be comfortable riding lifts without adult assistance. Program emphasis will be directed at acquiring Freestyle ski fundamentals, including jumps, rails, moguls, halfpipe, while having fun through free-skiing, balance-oriented drills and terrain exercises.
Adherence to all TSEF Handbook Guidelines required Fall dryland & conditioning available Christmas Camp included USSA Membership required Coaches recommendation required Athlete to coach ratio - 8:1 The Comp Team is committed to the advancing freestyle skier. Members are encouraged to compete in Intermountain Freestyle Division events. This team is designed for the continuing Freerider who wishes to progress through the early-mid stages of Freestyle competition. The continued development of freestyle ski fundamentals through air training, rails, moguls, halfpipe, free-skiing, balance-oriented drills and terrain exercises and having fun will be emphasized.
*Our 3+ day teams train Friday evenings (time TBA) and weekends. This team competes locally at a level appropriate to their desire and ability. TSEF's direction for this group is to encourage the development of quality fundamentals, introduce athlete responsibility and independence, and begin goal-oriented Freestyle/Freeride training. Additional mid-week training may be available. |
