TSEF's Team Tamarack Alpine offers a variety of programs ranging from a weekend development program for our newest and youngest racers to a full-time competition program for the older and more experienced racer. The main focus of all our teams is fun. If you are having fun, you are also allowing yourself to learn. Fun, integrated with learning, leads to a lifelong passion for whatever you so choose. An important philosophy emphasized in all levels Team Tamarack's programs. The J6/7 Development Team is committed to the beginning ski racer. Members are encouraged to race in local events and some Youth Ski League events and surrounding areas. This is a learn-to-race program, not a learn-to-ski program. Members are expected to be able to ski all levels of terrain in a timely and efficient manner at Tamarack Resort and be comfortable riding lifts without the assistance of an adult. Program emphasis will be directed at acquiring alpine ski fundamentals through free-skiing, balance-oriented drills, terrain exercises while having fun. Occasional gate training will be made available. The J4/5 Development Team is committed to the advancing ski racer. Members are encouraged to race in IMD North Series Races. This team is designed for the returning racer that wishes to progress along the early stages of alpine ski racing. Program emphasis will be directed at continued development of alpine ski fundamentals through gate training, free-skiing, balance-oriented drills and terrain exercises while having fun. |
